I can't believe it's been four years since I unpublished Shortcake. Four years?! I finally sat down and went through my messages, and I'm honestly overwhelmed—thank you so much for all the love and support you've sent my way. It means more than you know. 😭
Going through them, I realized that when I unpublished my books, Kindle Unlimited pulled them out of your libraries. So many of you quietly lost your copy, and I had no idea. I'm so sorry.
I'm going to give Shortcake a little update, send it off for a fresh edit, and then pop it back up for a while so those of you who lost it can have it again.
I'll do the same for Peanut and Hollywood (Mara's book) down the line.
Thank you for being so kind, and so patient with me. ❤️
xo,
Lucy
NOTE: I've been receiving strange messages (that have overwhelmed me), so I've unpublished Shortcake and Peanut until I can figure out how to handle them.
Thank you! xo
UPDATE: A few months after I published Shortcake, I started receiving an onslaught of strange, vitriolic messages. I’m a relatively unknown indie author, with zero social media presence, so the number of messages and amount of hate in them (especially for a little rom-com) sort of freaked me out.
I published Peanut under the radar, not wanting to deal with that stuff again. I’m probably the only author who tries to sneak her books into the world, haha. Even with my cool stealthiness, the same messages started up. And this time, I just can’t do it.
I write these books for fun, in between other projects, and will continue to write Mara’s story because I freaking love that girl. I hope to republish someday, but I’m not sure when.
Sharing these stories with you all has been one of my greatest joys.
Thank you so much!
xoxo,
Lucy
*I stopped checking messages when this all started, so I’m truly sorry if yours has gone unanswered.
